A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Houston, TX office. The attorney will assist in reviewing cases and providing legal options for clients. The role involves interpreting and advising on immigration, citizenship, and business immigration issues, as well as representing clients in US Immigration court.

Duties

• Manage immigration litigation processes as part of a legal team.
• Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions to clients.
• Identify legal issues and develop approaches to resolve complex issues.
• Advise, research, and draft legal documents such as petitions and motions.
• Advocate for clients in establishing legal residency or facing deportation.
• Prepare family-based petitions, employment-based cases, and removal defense matters.
• Develop strategy and prepare clients for court and USCIS appointments.

Requirements

• Active member in good standing of the Bar.
• 3+ years of law firm experience.
• At least 2 years of court experience.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree.

Certifications

• Bar License.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and MacOS systems.
