Software Trainer & E-Learning Specialist

The candidate will design and create engaging e-learning programs, videos, digital instructions and quick reference guides, tech blog articles, and classroom or virtual instructor-led training for technology systems including new hire onboarding, software solutions, and firm services that enable attorneys and staff to perform work tasks in an efficient manner. Will work closely with the Instructional Design & E Learning Specialist and the Technology Training Manager to develop virtual onboarding, continuing education programs and learning plans. Design and develop e-learning content for ongoing technology training. Conduct and arrange technology training for onboarding new firm personnel. Develop recorded live classes into e-learning content. Design and develop videos and online content for new software rollouts. Assist with editing/production of videos for firm and departmental special requests. Assist in developing training programs and custom training materials such as online learning modules, software manuals and quick reference guides. Develop e-learning content, & conduct training to broad audiences, local offices, attorneys and executives in response to local or firmwide needs. Attend department and project meetings to ensure training and change management is properly executed as part of the project in alignment with firm management goals. Learn new technologies and be able to quickly deliver quality e-learning and interactive video training to attorneys and staff. Evaluate training and marketing methods to ensure users are aware of the firm’s technology capabilities. Create informational Tech Blog posts on a regular basis. Conduct training for IT Support Staff to ensure they are keeping up with current firm technologies. Assist Software Trainers with converting and editing recorded live sessions into online video content. Assist Software Trainers with weekly new hire technology training and onboarding. Develop interactive hands-on e-learning exercises as follow up to live classes or videos. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Should have 3-5 years as a software trainer in a large organization and 3+ years of creating e-learning content using Captivate, Articulate, or other similar software. Should preferably have 3-5 years working in the legal training environment. Microsoft Office, Document Management Systems (NetDocs, iManage) knowledge is required. E-learning & video editing software (Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Premiere, ShotCut, etc), screen capture and image editing software (Snag-It, Photoshop, etc.), Learning Management Systems, MS Word Styles & Macros, Document Comparison software, Adobe or other PDF editor, legal billing software (DTE, Carpe Diem, Intapp Time) is preferred. Strong consideration for ATD certification, Traveling Coaches Certified Legal Trainer, MOUS certification, or other similar training certification is preferred.
