Duties

• Manage intellectual property litigation cases, including patent, trademark, and copyright disputes
• Oversee and provide guidance to a small team of attorneys on day-to-day case management
• Handle all aspects of IP litigation, from case strategy development to courtroom representation
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Present oral arguments and advocate on behalf of clients in court
• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution when necessary
• Maintain clear communication with clients regarding case progress and strategy
• Stay updated on developments in intellectual property law and apply them to ongoing cases

Requirements

• 5 to 15 years of experience in intellectual property litigation
• Proven ability to manage litigation cases independently
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Current Illinois Bar membership in good standing
• US Patent Bar membership is a plus, but not required

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active Illinois Bar License
• US Patent Bar (preferred, but not required)
