The role requires experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, with a focus on computer circuits, multiprocessor design, and telecommunications.

Duties

• Interview inventors and prepare patent applications.
• Conduct all stages of US and foreign patent prosecution, including ex parte appeals.
• Perform validity, infringement, and freedom to operate studies, and prepare legal opinion letters.
• Provide legal counsel on intellectual property matters, focusing on patent issues.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff for effective case management.
• Stay updated on intellectual property law developments and contribute to the firm's knowledge base.

Requirements

• Two to five years of patent prosecution experience.
• Familiarity with intellectual property law and patent litigation procedures.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Litigation experience is a bonus but not required.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Technical background (BS/MS preferred).

Certifications

• Registered practitioner at US Patent and Trademark Office or Patent Bar Eligible.
