Litigation Attorney

Profile

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Litigation Attorney with portable business and substantial experience in litigation.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including but not limited to commercial disputes, personal injury cases, employment litigation, and other civil litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients.
• Manage and coordinate with support staff, experts, and co-counsel as needed.
• Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients throughout the litigation process.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Portable business.
• Substantial experience as a Litigation Attorney.
• Admission to the State Bar in New York or eligibility for admission.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Education/Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar in New York or ability to become licensed.
• Certification in Litigation preferred.
