Job Overview:
A Lexington, KY-based law firm is looking to expand its litigation team by bringing on a driven mid-level associate attorney. This role is ideal for a litigator with hands-on experience in courtroom matters and a strong interest in general, commercial, and energy litigation. The position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team and make meaningful contributions to a high-volume litigation practice.

Duties:

• Handle diverse litigation matters, including commercial disputes and energy-related cases

• Draft legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings with precision and clarity

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support ongoing and prospective cases

• Engage in depositions, court hearings, and trial preparation

• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on complex matters

• Maintain strong client communications and case documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience practicing litigation law

• Demonstrated ability to manage litigation files independently or with minimal oversight

• Must hold an active license to practice law in the state of Kentucky

• Confidence and interest in court appearances and oral arguments

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Kentucky Bar (mandatory)

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with effective time management
