Paralegal Specialist
The candidate will work directly with IRLI and AUSA attorneys to prepare legal documents, research legal precedent, and develop and maintain an index system for current and prospective cases. Our caseload is growing and the ideal candidate for this position is organized, professional, responsible, and committed to helping us meet all of our clients’ needs. Assists the Executive Director and department directors in managing firm caseload; Tracks current and prospective cases using a tracking system; Performs legal research; Supports attorneys by proofreading, editing, formatting and finalizing legal documents through to execution, at all times exhibiting a diligent and meticulous approach to detail; Prepares, maintains, retrieves and delivers case files and documents as requested; Updates IRLI’s library; and Performs other related duties as assigned. Should have Paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Should have 3+ years of relevant experience. Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint). Legal research skills with proficiency in Lexis-Nexis and PACER. Outstanding organizational skills. Demonstrate good communication skills both verbally and in writing.
