Profile

A law firm is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Partner for their New York City, NY office. The Senior Commercial Litigation Partner will be responsible for handling commercial litigation matters with a focus on the commercial division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pleading, motion practice, discovery, and some transactional experience. Additionally, the candidate must have a portable book of business of at least $400.

Duties:

• Handle commercial litigation matters in the commercial division
• Conduct pleadings, motion practice, and discovery
• Utilize transactional experience as needed
• Manage and maintain a portable book of business
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
• Mentor junior attorneys and provide guidance on complex legal matters

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Bar in New York
• 5-8 years of experience in commercial litigation
• Extensive experience in pleading, motion practice, and discovery
• Some transactional experience preferred
• Portable book of business of at least $400

Education:
