A law firm seeks a Partner for their Construction Defect practice in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills and a commitment to client service, contributing to a dynamic legal team.

Duties

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, and pleadings.
• Meet an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.
• Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Retain, collaborate with, and cross-examine expert witnesses.
• Prepare for trial, including voir dire through verdict.
• Develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
• Travel as required.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in General Liability - Construction Defect.
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admitted to practice in Texas (state and federal courts); other states a plus.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong research abilities and communication skills.
• Ability to self-manage and work in a team environment.
• Prompt response to email and phone inquiries.

Education

• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in Texas (state and federal courts).
