Duties

• Support a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Manage all aspects of written discovery.
• Represent clients at court hearings and mediations.
• Develop litigation strategies with senior attorneys and clients.
• Maintain regular communication with clients.
• Collaborate on complex matters involving general liability and related claims.
• Assist with trial preparation and coordination with experts.
• Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of Florida.
• 2+ years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience with general liability, premises, transportation, or insurance defense.
• Maritime experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions.

Education

• JD from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of Florida.
