Paralegal

The candidate will be responsible to provide general paralegal support for the office. Assist attorneys with the preparation of responses to discovery, including meeting with clients when necessary. Assist with preparation of cases for trial. Send out discovery requests. Monitors compliance with discovery by all parties and prepares motions as appropriate. Assist attorneys with investigation of cases. Obtain medical, insurance, employment and/or other records/information, through record requests or subpoenas. Assist with the drafting of motions, briefs and other documents. Communicate with clients, claims adjusters, litigation specialists, attorneys' offices, medical provider offices, police departments, courts and agents to request additional information/documentation as assigned. Set up legal file jackets, as needed. Maintains summary of all records received by case, for attorneys and other claims personnel. Perform legal research at the request of the attorneys. Contacts clients to help attorneys schedule in-person appointments, answer discovery and arrange for appearances. Assist with completion of projects. Interact with employees at all levels. Communicate with insured’s, claimants, attorney’s offices, medical provider offices, body shop personnel, Police departments and others.
