A law firm seeks a compassionate and detail-oriented attorney to join its plaintiff-side practice in Los Angeles County, CA, focusing on sexual abuse and mass tort litigation. This role involves advocating for survivors in complex cases, including coordinated proceedings and multi-plaintiff litigation.

Duties

• Manage a high caseload of sexual abuse and mass tort matters.
• Conduct client interviews with trauma-informed sensitivity.
• Build strong cases through liability analysis and evidence gathering.
• Draft pleadings, demand packages, and settlement communications.
• Handle written discovery, including drafting and responding.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Coordinate with experts, investigators, and support staff.
• Participate in global settlement discussions and mediation.
• Aggressively push cases toward resolution, mediation, or trial.
• Navigate coordinated proceedings and large-scale litigation.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar license.
• Experience in personal injury, mass torts, or civil litigation preferred.
• Experience with JCCP or similar multi-district litigation is a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
• Experience with sexual abuse cases or high-volume dockets is a plus.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and case management skills.
• Comfortable handling sensitive client matters with empathy.
• Ability to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active California Bar license.
