Duties

  • Assist with the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of real estate finance transactions.
  • Handle complex real estate lending matters with a focus on balance sheet bank lending work.
  • Review and prepare documentation for secured and unsecured loan transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide strategic legal counsel and address their real estate finance needs.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to ensure compliance with regulatory and financial requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings to strategize and resolve transactional challenges.

Requirements

  • 3-8 years of experience in a law firm environment with a focus on real estate finance.
  • Proven expertise in managing sophisticated real estate lending transactions.
  • Familiarity with balance sheet bank lending is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to draft precise, effective documentation.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in the Texas State Bar or eligibility for admission.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas or eligible for reciprocity.
