Duties:

• Manage Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, from petition preparation to final discharge.
• Assist clients with filing petitions, preparing schedules, and other documentation.
• Represent clients at meetings of creditors and other related court appearances.
• Maintain clear and organized records of client cases, ensuring compliance with all relevant bankruptcy laws.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners on case strategy and ensure timely completion of legal filings.
• Handle a flat-rate payment structure per case, based on client retention.
• Develop a deep understanding of clients’ needs to offer the best possible solutions and support throughout the bankruptcy process.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy cases.
• Active Electronic Case Filing (ECF) credentials and the ability to file cases within bankruptcy districts.
• Experience in drafting and filing bankruptcy petitions and managing schedules.
• Ability to represent clients in meetings of creditors and other court proceedings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate filings and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
• A strong desire to help clients gain financial freedom and a fresh start.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice in Federal Court, with active ECF credentials for consumer bankruptcy filings.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when interacting with clients and courts.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proficient in managing bankruptcy filings and documentation within the federal court system.
• Ability to provide clear and concise legal advice to clients navigating bankruptcy proceedings.
