A law firm seeks an associate attorney with over four years of experience in employment-based immigration law for their Philadelphia, PA office. The successful candidate will join a high-volume corporate practice, focusing on H-1B, L-1, TN, and PERM matters, with opportunities to lead a team and manage corporate client relationships.

Duties

  • Counsel clients and oversee a high volume of employment-based immigration cases.
  • Prepare immigration petitions and applications, assessing eligibility and analyzing legal issues.
  • Draft and review H-1B, L-1, TN petitions, and PERM Labor Certification responses.
  • Draft correspondence to administrative agencies and respond to requests for evidence.
  • Conduct PERM cycle placement and workforce planning analyses.
  • Conduct in-depth research to support cases and projects.
  • Develop an expert understanding of client industries.
  • Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues and support projects.
  • Communicate with clients and foreign nationals on case strategies.
  • Support clients in immigration program management and compliance.
  • Delegate and supervise work of junior associates and paralegals.
  • Contribute to the development of practice processes for efficiency.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Bar admission.
  • Prior corporate account management experience.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on added responsibilities.
  • Ability to show initiative and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to edit work of paralegals and support staff.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with immigration-specific case management software is a plus.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Education

  • J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
