This role:
We are seeking a solicitor (NQ to 2 years PQE) to join our growing and highly recommended Contentious Probate team
, which sits within the firm’s Dispute Resolution department, recommended in both The Legal 500 and Chambers UK Guide.
The successful candidate will focus upon contentious probate work and support the team more widely as needed.
We are delighted to have welcomed Angela Bowman
to the firm in April 2024. Angela, who has over 25 years’ experience in handling the full remit of contentious probate claims for charities and private clients, leads our Contentious Probate team, consisting of a partner, two solicitors and a trainee solicitor. Owing to the busyness and growth of this area of our practice, we now have two new vacancies within our team.

Key responsibilities include:
Managing an agreed caseload of clients in conjunction with the two partners who head up our Contentious Probate and Dispute Resolution teams.
Processing clients’ cases on a timely and cost-effective basis.
Maintaining the highest professional standards in accordance with the firm’s objectives and comply with the firm’s quality standards.
Keeping clients fully informed of the range of services that the firm offers.
Efficiently handling telephone and email enquiries as required.
Supporting business development and networking activities.
The successful candidate will:
Have at least a 2.1 degree
Hold an ACTAPS qualification (preferred)
Be enthusiastic and hard working
Have excellent interpersonal skills with good written and verbal skills
Have experience of business development and networking
Have worked as a member of a team and share our values of excellence, integrity and approachability
