Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Associate to join its San Francisco office. The successful candidate will handle complex commercial and residential transactions, providing legal counsel to a diverse clientele.

Duties

• Manage key aspects of commercial and residential purchases and sales.
• Conduct title and survey reviews and oversee the transaction process.
• Communicate effectively with counsel, escrow, and principals.
• Engage in finance, commercial leasing, and conveyancing activities.
• Advise on entitlements, subdivisions, and ownership structures.
• Ensure compliance with California real estate laws and taxation issues.
• Track and advance transactions, managing closing and due diligence checklists.
• Contribute to business development and maintain long-term client relationships.

Requirements

• Admitted and in good standing with the California Bar.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a law firm's Real Estate group.
• Domestic experience required; international experience is a plus.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive self-starter with strong project management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple assignments.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• California Bar admission.
