A top-tier law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an associate attorney with 3–6 years of corporate transactional experience to join its Entertainment Transactions & Finance practice group. This unique position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile entertainment deals, intellectual property matters, catalog acquisitions, and talent transactions, while contributing to a dynamic and visionary legal team.

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Draft, manage, and negotiate high-value agreements involving music rights and other entertainment-related intellectual property

• Support clients through sophisticated financing and M&A transactions in the entertainment industry

• Advise on catalog sales, acquisitions, licensing, and rights management

• Work directly with artists, content creators, executives, and corporate clients on production and distribution matters

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including attorneys, consultants, and other professionals

• Contribute to strategy development related to content creation, deal structuring, and long-term intellectual property growth

• Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail and client service

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of experience in entertainment law or an adjacent field such as corporate M&A, intellectual property licensing, or content development

• Prior experience with catalog sales/acquisitions preferred

• Ability to operate independently while collaborating within a fast-paced team

• Strategic, creative thinker with a strong commitment to professional growth

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in good standing in California or eligibility for admission

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation capabilities

• Organizational skills with the ability to manage dozens of active matters concurrently
