A reputable law firm is seeking a USCIS Immigration Attorney to join its growing practice in San Juan, PR. This position focuses on representing clients in affirmative immigration matters, including family-based petitions, naturalization, and humanitarian applications. The role also includes opportunities to support removal defense cases. The ideal candidate will be experienced in USCIS processes and passionate about providing strategic immigration solutions in a client-focused, team-oriented legal environment.

Represent clients in affirmative immigration matters before USCIS, including adjustment of status, naturalization, and humanitarian relief
Conduct client consultations and develop legal strategies based on individual case assessments
Prepare and submit a variety of immigration applications and supporting documents
Review immigration application packets for completeness and legal accuracy
Provide legal support in removal defense proceedings when necessary
Visit detention centers to conduct legal intakes (as needed)
Prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS interviews and immigration testimony
Collaborate with community organizations, law enforcement, and other stakeholders regarding updates in immigration law
Draft legal briefs, motions, and memoranda as part of case preparation
Maintain detailed and organized case files and meet deadlines across multiple matters
3–5 years of experience in immigration law, including USCIS-related applications
Experience with family-based petitions, naturalization, humanitarian applications, and EOIR proceedings
Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently
Strong communication skills for client interaction and case strategy development
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Active bar membership in any U.S. state or territory
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Proficient in reviewing and assembling complex immigration filings
Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Experience using immigration case management software (preferred)
Ability to work under pressure and handle a high-volume caseload efficiently
