A law firm based in New York City is seeking a skilled Lateral Corporate - M&A/Private Equity Associate Attorney to join their M&A and Private Equity teams. The candidate will provide legal counsel to corporate clients and private equity funds on acquisitions, dispositions, minority investments, and general corporate matters.

Job Overview:

• Advise corporate clients and private equity funds on M&A transactions and general corporate matters.
• Handle drafting transaction documents and managing deals effectively.
• Duties:
• Provide legal advice and support on M&A transactions and private equity deals.
• Draft and review transaction documents.
• Conduct legal due diligence.
• Assist in negotiations with clients and counterparties.
• Provide general corporate legal support as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• 5-7 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on M&A transactions and private equity.
• Strong understanding of corporate law and market terms.
• Significant experience in drafting transaction documents and managing deals.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar.
