Mentoring Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Mentoring Attorney with extensive experience in trucking litigation. The ideal candidate will provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior attorneys, assisting in their professional development and case management practices.

Duties:

• Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior attorneys, aiding in their professional development and case management practices.
• Advise attorneys on proper case development, assessment, and valuation for all phases of litigation.
• Contribute to and collaborate with junior attorneys in developing litigation and trial strategies, as well as negotiations in mediation and direct negotiations.
• Participate in developing attorney training systems to enhance the legal knowledge and skills of attorneys.
• Conduct regular case reviews to monitor and advise attorney productivity and progress toward goals, providing feedback as needed.
• Assist in the development and oversight of professional development plans for attorneys within the firm.
• Provide regular reporting on attorney performance and growth, as well as progress toward individual and firm goals.
• Provide input for annual performance reviews.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice in Georgia Federal Courts preferred.
• Trial experience is required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Prior mentoring and development responsibilities of junior attorneys preferred.
• Graduate of an ABA accredited law school.
• Current member, in good standing, of the State Bar of Georgia.
• 15+ years of experience litigating cases.
• 10+ years in trucking litigation, with significant time on the defense side.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in the State Bar of Georgia.

Skills:

• Extensive experience in trucking litigation.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in case assessment and valuation.
• Ability to develop effective litigation and trial strategies.
• Familiarity with Georgia Federal Courts procedures and regulations.
