A law firm seeks a Senior Corporate Associate to join its Corporate Practice in Stamford, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in corporate and M&A transactions, demonstrating the ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with partners and clients.

Duties

• Represent clients in corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents such as purchase and merger agreements.
• Oversee the entire deal process, from due diligence to closing logistics.
• Advise clients on corporate matters, including entity formation and governance.
• Coordinate with attorneys in other practice groups as needed.
• Lead deal teams and mentor associates and paralegals.
• Maintain direct communication with clients to build long-term relationships.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 6+ years of experience in transactional work at a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance and transactional processes.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and sound business judgment.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
