Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Miami, FL, is seeking a dynamic and experienced bankruptcy attorney to join its Business Reorganization team as a senior-level partner. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in handling complex Chapter 11 matters and demonstrate a proven ability to manage client relationships, lead case strategy, and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. This role is tailored for a legal professional with an established portable book of business and a passion for navigating sophisticated restructuring and insolvency challenges.

Duties:

• Lead representation of clients in Chapter 11 proceedings, including debtors, creditor committees, and court-appointed fiduciaries

• Manage all phases of bankruptcy litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation

• Develop and execute a case strategy in complex corporate restructuring matters

• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff on active matters

• Foster strong client relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and business acumen

• Collaborate cross-functionally with partners and teams across practice groups and locations

• Participate in business development activities to expand the bankruptcy and restructuring practice

Requirements:

• Demonstrated first-chair experience in high-level bankruptcy cases, particularly Chapter 11 matters

• Established portable client base with consistent revenue generation

• Significant involvement representing debtors, committees, and fiduciaries

• Experience with bankruptcy-related litigation preferred

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities within legal teams or in complex matters

• Commitment to excellence in client service and work product

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar, or eligibility and willingness to obtain admission promptly

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and Chapter 11 procedures

• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously

• Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred

• Collaborative mindset with a positive, team-oriented approach

• High attention to detail and strategic thinking under pressure
