Mid-Level Investment Funds Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Investment Funds Associate Attorney for its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds. The role requires strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Admitted to practice in Illinois, the candidate should have 3-6 years of relevant experience, including direct exposure to AmLaw 100 firms or SEC experience.

Duties:

• Handle investments in, or formation of, domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
• Manage secondary transactions and structure separately managed accounts.
• Participate in structuring carry vehicles as necessary.
• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce high-quality deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence promptly.
• Ensure timely completion of work products and meet deadlines consistently.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including extensive computer work, digital/virtual conference calls, and meetings.
• Perform any other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Illinois.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC environment.
