Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Litigation/Family Law Associate with 1+ years of litigation experience to join its Atlanta, GA office. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and passionate about litigation, eager to grow, and committed to excellence.

Duties

• Assist senior attorneys on complex family law matters.
• Engage in all stages of litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery.
• Work on complex custody cases and prepare motions and pleadings.
• Prepare for and attend mediations, court hearings, and trials.
• Analyze and manage complex financial issues such as income tracing and asset division.
• Learn the procedural landscape of the Fulton County family law division and metro Atlanta counties.
• Collaborate within a cohesive team environment.

Requirements

• Reside within a commutable distance to Atlanta or plan to relocate.
• Ability to work in the Atlanta office five days a week.
• Active Georgia Bar license and good standing as an attorney.
• 1+ years of litigation experience.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong judgment, professionalism, and intellectual curiosity.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Comfortable with courtroom appearances and client interaction.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Georgia Bar license.

Skills

• Strong legal writing and research abilities.
• Excellent oral advocacy skills.
• High attention to detail and strong work ethic.
• Experience with complex financial issues or high net worth clients is a plus.
