A law firm in Sydney is seeking a Technology Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of post-qualification experience, offering the opportunity to work on diverse matters involving telecoms, privacy, cyber, large-scale outsourcing projects, and technology procurement. The successful candidate will have direct exposure to a varied client base, including government entities, data center operators, financial institutions, and large corporations. This role involves working on high-profile and market-leading matters related to technology, including acquisitions, licensing, outsourcing, government procurement, data licensing, privacy, data breaches, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

Job Details:

• Direct exposure to a diverse group of clients, including government, data center operators, financial institutions, and large corporations.
• Work on high-profile matters such as acquisition, licensing, and supply of large-scale hardware, information technology, and telecommunications systems.
• Handle outsourcing, managed services, cloud, and bespoke contractual arrangements.
• Engage in government procurement at the state and federal levels.
• Address matters related to data licensing, privacy, data breach, and cybersecurity.
• Deal with artificial intelligence in legal contexts.
• Experience in transactional technology work.
• Outstanding written, drafting, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong desire to work on complex, high-profile matters.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of post-qualification experience.
• Exposure to matters involving telecoms, privacy, cyber, large-scale outsourcing projects, and technology procurement.

Education:

LL.B or JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in technology law (preferred).
