Intellectual Property Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeking an Intellectual Property Associate Attorney in Columbus. The attorney will be responsible for a range of tasks within intellectual property law, including patent preparation and prosecution in chemical and mechanical arts, design patent preparation and prosecution, trademark preparation and prosecution (including inter partes actions), IP due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, IP litigation support, and IP licensing. Strong research and writing skills, along with exceptional project management abilities, are essential for success in this role.

Duties:

• Conduct patent preparation and prosecution in chemical and mechanical arts.
• Handle design patent preparation and prosecution.
• Manage trademark preparation and prosecution, including inter partes actions.
• Perform IP due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.
• Provide support for IP litigation matters.
• Assist in IP licensing negotiations and agreements.

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 2-5 years of experience in intellectual property law.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Exceptional project management abilities.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Skills:

• Proficiency in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Thorough understanding of trademark law and procedures.
• Ability to conduct IP due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong project management abilities.
