Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Partner to lead and grow its Professional Liability (E&O) practice in Woodbury, NY. This position is ideal for a client-focused attorney with strong leadership skills, extensive professional liability defense experience, and a proven ability to develop business and manage complex matters.

Duties

• Lead and expand the Professional Liability practice in the Long Island office.
• Handle complex E&O defense matters through all phases of litigation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with insurers, insured professionals, brokers, and clients.
• Mentor and supervise associates and staff.
• Drive business development, marketing, and cross-selling initiatives.
• Collaborate with firm leadership and related practice groups on strategic growth opportunities.

Requirements

• JD and admission to the New York Bar in good standing.
• 10+ years of professional liability defense experience.
• Established book of business in the Long Island or NY metropolitan market preferred.
• Strong litigation, leadership, client management, and business development skills.
• Experience representing insurers and/or insured professionals preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)
