Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research using Westlaw and other resources to support case preparation.
• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements with precision.
• Assist in settlement negotiations and reach favorable agreements for clients.
• Provide legal counsel and representation in areas such as civil litigation, real estate, contracts, and employment.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases, contributing to strategy and case discussions.
• Maintain organized and accurate case records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and addressing inquiries.
• Represent clients in court hearings as required.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the state bar with good standing.
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure, real estate law, contracts, construction, and employment law.
• Proven legal drafting and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for clients.
• Strong negotiation abilities and client-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to manage a diverse caseload.
• High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality in legal practices.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active state bar license in Kansas.
