Job Overview

A law firm seeks a senior-level Business and Commercial Litigation Attorney with at least 10 years of experience to join their team in Roseland, NJ. The candidate should have extensive experience in managing complex business disputes and be capable of independently handling cases from inception through trial or resolution in both State and Federal Courts. Experience in construction litigation and contract review and negotiation is highly desirable.

Duties

• Handle all phases of commercial litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, court appearances, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Represent clients in various business and commercial disputes, including contract disputes, vendor agreements, and trade secret litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; prepare and argue motions in state and federal court.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and litigation support staff.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar required; admission to the New York Bar a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of commercial litigation experience with demonstrated success handling complex cases.
• Trial experience strongly preferred.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar required; admission to the New York Bar a plus.
