Location:

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications related to clients' global patent and intellectual property strategies.

• Conduct freedom-to-operate and landscape analysis.

• Prepare patentability, invalidity, and non-infringement opinions.

• Support intellectual property-related litigation and transactional practices as needed.

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to provide strategic IP guidance.

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of patent experience.

• Technical background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Admission to the Michigan Bar and the U.S. Patent Bar.

• Excellent academic credentials.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Michigan Bar (required).

• U.S. Patent Bar registration (required).

Skills:

• Strong patent drafting and prosecution skills.

• Ability to conduct freedom-to-operate and landscape analysis.

• Proficiency in preparing patentability, invalidity, and non-infringement opinions.
