The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy project finance, with particular emphasis on representing lenders or tax equity investors. Duties:

• Represent clients in renewable energy project finance transactions, particularly focusing on lenders or tax equity investors.
• Provide comprehensive legal counsel on various project financing structures, risk assessments, and due diligence.
• Draft and negotiate a range of complex legal documents, including financing agreements and project development contracts.
• Conduct detailed legal research and analysis, ensuring that all documents and agreements comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to strategize on client cases and offer practical solutions to complex issues.
• Participate in client meetings, providing strategic advice and actionable insights on financial structuring.
• Maintain strong client relationships and manage ongoing project financing transactions.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant transactional experience in project finance, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
• Experience representing lenders or tax equity investors is highly preferred.
• Strong academic background and proven legal analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Must be a member of the North Carolina Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar (or eligibility to obtain).
