A law firm is seeking a recent law graduate or early-career legal professional to join its growing litigation team in a role designed to jumpstart a career in employee advocacy and class-based legal actions. Support attorneys in legal proceedings that address workplace pay violations, collective redress, and employment law infractions.
Conduct legal research and draft memos, pleadings, and correspondence for high-volume litigation involving large groups of affected employees.
Assist in reviewing employment documentation, time records, and wage statements to build and support claims.
Participate in case strategy meetings, fact investigations, and client interviews.
Monitor deadlines, support discovery efforts, and track case progress through various stages of litigation.
Gain exposure to mediation preparation, court filings, and class procedure.
Law school graduate or current post-bar candidate; applicants awaiting bar results are welcome.
Up to 2 years of legal experience, preferably in a litigation, employment law, or public interest environment.
Strong interest in employment law, wage protection, and social impact litigation.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and committed to collaborative work.
Must be able to handle multiple priorities with professionalism and attention to detail.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Pending admission or in good standing with the California Bar (or preparing for the next available bar exam).
Outstanding legal writing, analytical, and communication abilities.
Eagerness to learn and contribute meaningfully to large-scale litigation.
Strong research skills, including familiarity with employment statutes and procedural rules.
