A law firm seeks a Pre-Litigation Attorney to join its team in Topeka, KS. This full-time, in-office position offers a dynamic opportunity to advocate for injured clients and negotiate settlements. The role requires a Kansas bar license or the intention to take the next bar exam, with dual-licensing in Kansas and Missouri preferred for Kansas City offices.

Duties

• Meet with clients and potential clients.
• Handle case files and prepare cases for demand.
• Present cases to the Focus Group.
• Negotiate settlements and attend court hearings for approval.
• Serve as second chair in trials.

Requirements

• Kansas bar license or intent to take the next bar exam.
• Dual-licensing in Kansas and Missouri preferred for Kansas City offices.
• Experience in personal injury law is advantageous but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar license in Kansas or eligibility to take the bar exam.
