Job Overview

A law firm seeks a second or third-year associate to join its Corporate Practice Group and Taxation and Estate Planning Practice Group in Encino, CA. The candidate will engage in drafting documents for corporate, merger and acquisition, and general business transactions, and assist with trust and estate administration.

Duties

• Draft a broad range of documents for corporate and business transactions.
• Assist with the administration of trusts and decedent's estates.
• Advise on estate, gift, and property tax issues.
• Manage a challenging workload in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Master of Laws degree (LLM) in Taxation, preferably not from a joint JD/LLM program.
• Strong academic record and writing skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills and willingness to accept significant responsibility.
• Good standing with the CA State Bar.

Education

• Master of Laws degree (LLM) in Taxation.

Certifications

• CA State Bar license.

Skills

• Experience in legal writing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
