Associate General Counsel
The candidate will serve as a key resource in the negotiation and execution of a wide array of contracts that are integral to the successful development of the company’s projects. Work directly for the Deputy General Counsel, but will collaborate across the organization to ensure effective contracting strategy, process and execution. Responsibilities: Providing legal and strategic advice on corporate matters to the company’s various functional units. Drafting and negotiating various corporate contracts (including service agreements, consulting contracts, and confidentiality agreements); Supporting the drafting and negotiation of various complex commercial contracts (including equipment supply agreements, construction agreements, and operations and maintenance agreements)’; Managing external counsel on corporate matters, as needed. Supporting the analysis of, and response to, RFPs for energy storage projects. Preparing and presenting on various corporate legal topics. Should have J.D. from an accredited law school. Active membership and good standing in at least one US state bar is required. Must have 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm or a corporate legal department. Should have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures and excellent general corporate contract drafting and negotiation skills.
