Job Title: Trial Attorney - Premises Liability
Job Overview:
A law firm based in Auburn, AL, is seeking an experienced trial attorney with a strong background in personal injury and premises liability litigation. This opportunity is ideal for a results-driven legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about client advocacy. The selected candidate will manage a high-volume caseload, lead litigation efforts, and represent clients through trial with the full support of an experienced team and advanced legal resources.
Duties:
Manage approximately 150 cases, including 50+ in active litigation
Guide each case from intake through settlement or jury verdict
Conduct client communications and consultations with clarity and empathy
Draft and respond to motions, conduct depositions, and participate in mediations
Develop a litigation strategy tailored to each case
Serve as lead attorney in jury trials, advocating effectively in court
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation (5-8 years preferred)
At least 5+ first-chair jury verdicts required; 10+ preferred
Admitted and in good standing with the Alabama State Bar
Additional state bar admissions are an advantage
In-depth understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence
Strong communication, time management, and case strategy skills
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, performance-focused environment
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license with the Alabama State Bar (required)
Additional Bar memberships are considered a plus
