Duties

• Manage or assist with a defense litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents; conduct legal research.
• Handle court appearances, depositions, and other litigation activities.
• Conduct and manage written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories and subpoenas.
• Collaborate with partners and attorneys on case strategy and legal issues.
• Communicate with clients and provide case status updates and recommendations.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the State of New York.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience with professional liability matters preferred.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Experience handling written discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.
