Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join its Litigation group, focusing on Class Actions, in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, particularly in class action defense, and will be adept at managing complex legal matters from inception to resolution.

Duties

• Assist in managing cases from inception to resolution, including legal research and drafting pleadings.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs and motions.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay updated on legal precedents.
• Participate in professional development and pro bono work.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience with class action defense in securities, data and privacy, or consumer litigation.
• Experience managing multi-matter dockets and large-scale discovery.
• Previous federal clerkship is preferred.
• Strong persuasive legal writing skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)

• Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of application.
