Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a diligent Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience in insurance coverage and/or litigation. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional research and writing skills and excellent academic credentials. This position requires an Alabama law license.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research on case laws and statutes relevant to ongoing litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for court proceedings.
• Assist in case preparation by organizing evidence, documents, and exhibits.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to provide updates on case progress.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation when necessary.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Alabama State Bar with an active law license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in insurance coverage and/or litigation.
• Strong research and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent academic credentials, including a strong GPA.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience handling depositions, hearings, and trials is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Alabama State Bar admission with an active law license in good standing.
