The successful candidate will possess 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation, coupled with excellent academic credentials and demonstrated superior research and writing skills.

Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel on insurance coverage matters, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.
• Analyze and interpret insurance policies and coverage issues, offering strategic recommendations to clients.
• Draft, review, and negotiate insurance contracts, policies, and related legal documents.
• Represent clients in insurance coverage disputes through litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare detailed legal analyses on complex insurance and reinsurance issues.
• Develop and implement effective legal strategies for resolving insurance coverage disputes.
• Manage all aspects of insurance-related cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address insurance claims and coverage matters.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and case law affecting insurance and reinsurance.
• Prepare and present legal arguments, motions, and briefs in court and other legal proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Virginia State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
• 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.
• Proven track record of managing insurance coverage disputes and related litigation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Virginia State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
