Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Systems Administrator for our Information Systems department. Job duties include but are not limited to ensuring county computer systems, servers, and electronics are managed and meet the needs to the users, provide support to IS staff, engineer solutions for new and current systems, and troubleshoot hardware/software and relay information to end users and supervisors. Experience in Windows and Linux and experience as storage administrator virtual infrastructure administrator, Email and OWA administrator, and SQL Database administrator is essential. Required qualifications for this position are Bachelors in Computer Science, Programming, Computer Engineering, or related fields or an Associate’s degree with equivalent experience. Experience preferred is 2-4 years of computer related experience with training in MS Windows, MS Server OS and its roles and features; VMWare ESXi, VMware vCenter, VDI, Linux OS, storage administration, MS SQL server, MS Exchange, Antivirus/Malware protecting and backup restoration. County residency must be established within 180 days and maintained throughout employment.
