Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its Litigation Department in Philadelphia. This role is best suited for a litigation attorney with 2+ years of experience and a strong interest in handling insurance-related matters such as coverage disputes, bad faith claims, or general insurance defense. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, possesses strong analytical and writing skills, and is eager to grow within a supportive, partnership-track environment.

Location:

• Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and other legal documents

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and depositions (if applicable)

• Assist in developing case strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys

• Maintain timely communication with clients and team members

• Manage assigned caseload and deadlines independently and efficiently

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience

• Experience in insurance coverage, bad faith litigation, or insurance defense is a plus

• Comfortable drafting litigation materials and participating in discovery

• Courtroom and deposition experience preferred, but not required

• Strong judgment and ability to manage tasks independently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials preferred

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania (required)

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Strong legal research and analysis capabilities

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
