A law firm seeks a Complex Litigation Attorney in Hackensack, NJ. This role involves managing a caseload of complex class actions and single event cases, with a focus on consumer protection and data breach litigation. The position offers a hybrid/remote work option.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of complex class actions and single event cases.
• Conduct discovery, draft pleadings and motions, and handle depositions.
• Appear in court and actively participate in hearings and trials.
• Work on cases involving state and federal consumer protection statutes.
• Collaborate with a skilled team while also working independently.
• Litigate impactful, precedent-setting cases.

Requirements

• New Jersey license; additional licensure in other jurisdictions is a plus.
• 1 to 5 years of litigation experience or judicial clerkship.
• Experience with ESI, including collection, review, production, and ESI protocols.
• Experience with data breach-related litigation or investigations.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and conducting discovery.
• Outstanding communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to think creatively, be strategic, and exercise good judgment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in consumer protection statutes is recommended.
• Trial or appellate experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in New Jersey.
