Staff Accountant
The candidate will prepare and record monthly general ledger journal entries. Import new client matter forms into accounting software. Create and maintain timekeeper profiles and rates. Reconcile month end including firm bank statements. Prepare income statements, balance sheet, compensation, and other financial reports. Assist with billing functions as needed. Understand functionality of all office equipment and systems. Attend educational workshops, joining professional associations, building networks with fellow professional, and reviewing of industry publications to understand best industry practices. College degree in accounting, business, or related discipline; or relevant accounting experience in a professional services firm is required. Should have 4+ years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting is required.
