A respected law firm in Tacoma, WA, is seeking a dedicated and sharp-minded Associate Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. Duties:

• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and motions

• Conduct in-depth legal research and provide analysis to support transactional and litigation cases

• Assist with discovery, depositions, and client interviews under attorney supervision

• Participate in court hearings, client meetings, and negotiations as needed

• Collaborate across legal teams to support multi-disciplinary matters

• Maintain case files, organize documentation, and manage timelines and legal deadlines

• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Washington State or ability to obtain licensure shortly after hiring

• 0-2 years of legal practice experience (including internships, clerkships, or law school clinics)

• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

• Demonstrated initiative, time management, and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Commitment to ethical practice and a collaborative mindset

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Washington State Bar admission (active and in good standing) or eligibility to become licensed within a reasonable timeframe

Skills:

• Legal writing and research proficiency

• Familiarity with legal databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Effective time and task management

• Proficiency in handling sensitive client matters with discretion

• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
