Job Overview:
A leading national labor and employment law firm is seeking a Practice Innovation Attorney to support firmwide legal technology and process enhancement initiatives. This role is essential in evaluating and implementing innovative legal tools and workflows that improve attorney efficiency and client service. The position offers a unique opportunity for an attorney with litigation experience and a passion for legal innovation to work cross-functionally with attorneys, IT, knowledge management, and external vendors to drive meaningful change in legal service delivery.

Duties:
Collaborate with practice group leaders, attorneys, and IT teams to assess innovation needs
Evaluate and recommend emerging legal technologies tailored to practice workflows
Lead pilot programs and proof-of-concept projects for new tools and platforms
Oversee implementation and adoption of technology solutions across legal teams
Provide training and support to attorneys on new systems and innovation initiatives
Serve as liaison between attorneys, IT, and external vendors
Develop and enhance internal processes using automation, data analytics, and AI tools
Create presentations, training modules, and reports to communicate innovation strategy
Supervise and provide strategic guidance to Innovation Lead personnel
Participate in firm innovation committees and working groups
Requirements:
J.D. degree with experience in litigation (employment law experience preferred)
Demonstrated interest and experience in legal innovation and technology
Strong project management skills with ability to balance multiple initiatives
Proven ability to engage stakeholders across departments and practice areas
Familiarity with legal tech platforms including AI tools, case management, and document automation
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Skills:
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to translate technical concepts into practical legal applications
Experience managing cross-functional teams and innovation initiatives
Strategic thinking and solution-oriented mindset
Comfortable navigating change management and driving attorney adoption
