A law firm in Cornelius, NC, seeks an experienced and licensed Family Law Attorney to join their team. Job Duties:

• Provide competent legal advice to a book of family law clients in hearings, settlement negotiations, and mediation.
• Conduct client meetings, draft documents and pleadings, and engage in legal research and discovery.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Local Rules and their application to family law cases.
• Work independently on cases, maintaining a client base and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.
• Uphold professionalism and empathy when dealing with clients in high-stress and emotional situations.

Job Requirements:

• Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar (Licensed in South Carolina is a plus).
• 4+ years of experience working in a family law firm.
• Ability to understand Local Rules and how they apply to family law cases.
• Adequate skill in working independently on cases while maintaining a client base.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, especially in high-stress and emotional situations.
• Ability to maintain professionalism while showing empathy to all clients.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina (Licensing in South Carolina is a plus).

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload effectively.
• Proficient in negotiation and mediation techniques.
• Familiarity with family law procedures and regulations.
