Real Estate Title Attorney

The candidate must be licensed to practice law in SC and NC or willing and able to become licensed in NC immediately upon hire. Should have 2-5 years of experience in the residential real estate field, including conducting closings, examining titles, drafting title opinions, and performing related curative title work. Must have experience with representing builders. Experience with SoftPro Select is a plus. Must have a strong work ethic and analytical, research, writing, and speaking skills. Should be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a very client-centric approach. Should be called upon to assist in drafting or editing deeds, leases, assignments, agreements, and other real estate contracts. Should have a strong desire to learn and grow within the firm’s real estate practice. Must have hands-on experience reviewing titles, analyzing, and solving title issues of all types, managing closings, and drafting the documents necessary to conduct a real estate transaction. Must possess a high degree of autonomy and the ability to work independently. Should be proven ability to analyze, prioritize and execute multiple projects and complex tasks under a deadline. Should have the ability to analyze legal issues and to provide effective, practical advice on routine legal matters.
