Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Hartford, CT, is actively seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience, particularly in sophisticated litigation practice focused in Connecticut. Practical experience in construction and/or engineering is desirable, and construction litigation experience is considered a plus. The successful candidate will be a member of the Connecticut Bar, possess excellent writing and oral communication skills, demonstrate a strong academic record, and showcase motivation and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a larger team.

Duties:

• Handle sophisticated litigation cases with a focus on Connecticut-based matters.
• Provide legal representation and advice in construction litigation cases.
• Utilize practical experience in construction and/or engineering to enhance legal practice.
• Conduct legal research and prepare relevant legal documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing parties.
• Collaborate within a larger team to strategize and execute case objectives.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on Connecticut.
• Practical experience in construction and/or engineering is desirable.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
